I randomly decided I'm going to blog once a day. Just something brief to remind me of what my day was like--what I did, how I felt, what I saw, etc. I have the next 20 minutes to make sure this gets entered for January 1, 2016.
My sister and I threw quite a party last night. Small group of people but we picked a good bunch to bring together. Food, booze and card games. I woke up this morning and cleaned up the good mess we created. I had several people sleep over to avoid drunk driving. A couple stayed until I left for Menifee to see the rest of my family, though I was held up due to a phone call I had to make to my broker regarding a car I want to purchase. Shortly after my late arrival in Menifee, we headed to Riverside to have a nice dinner with more family. I had some gossip moments with one my favorite aunt/cousin because let's face it, it's necessary sometimes ;-)
All in all, I had good day with my family and friends today. I received a handful of text messages from the closest friends greeting me a happy new year and though a little short, being with my family today filled my day. Though I had a collective hour of remembering the pain and anger caused by the man I left along with the year 2015, I can honestly say I am good. Slowly but surely. I hope my 2016 will be good to me. Ask. Believe. Receive.
